What information does FleetNet collect?
We collect the minimum required contact information to respond to customer requests for financial documents or to allow customers to more easily fill out contact forms on the fleetnetamerica.com website.
Some of the information collected by FleetNet is personal data or data which relates to an identifiable person. Examples of personal data are names, addresses, e-mail addresses, telephone numbers and credit card numbers. We never sell information to third parties that could be used to specifically identify an individual customer or group of customers.
Specific information concerning credit cards:
In cases where credit card numbers are provided to FleetNet for payment, those numbers are automatically encrypted in a US Department of Defense certified 1024-bit asynchronous encryption scheme. Upon a successful charge and corresponding authorization number from the credit charging organization, these numbers are re-encrypted and stored in a non-decryptable state for FleetNet employees and external users unless decryption is warranted for a payment dispute; and only then by a minimum number of select individuals. The provided name, authorization number, and last four digits of the credit card used will continue to be available.
