Managing Fleet Breakdowns

Roadside breakdowns are inconvenient and can lead to unexpected downtime, delayed deliveries, and unhappy customers. When emergencies occur, it’s crucial to contact a repair service that can get you back on the road quickly and efficiently. FleetNet America is dedicated to reducing repair time and turning chaotic situations into order. Our goal is to get your truck back on the road faster than anyone else in America.

How FleetNet America Handles Truck Breakdowns

FleetNet America established its breakdown service department in 1993 and has since developed processes to ensure timely and quality repairs. We offer flexible and customizable solutions 24/7/365 to respond swiftly to emergencies. Here’s how we resolve truck breakdown events:

Advanced Diagnosis

Our primary concern is driver safety. Once confirmed, we focus on solving the problem. Our coordinators, averaging 20 years of mechanical experience, diagnose issues over the phone before dispatching a vendor, ensuring the best service provider is selected for the job.

Strong Vendor Relationships

FleetNet America acts as a third party between you and the service provider. With access to over 60,000 vendors nationwide, we quickly find and dispatch a reliable service provider close to your location. Many of our providers are multigenerational family businesses dating back to our beginnings as Carolina Freight. We build strong, professional, and long-lasting relationships with vendors to ensure your breakdown receives the care and urgency it requires.

Continuous Follow-Ups

After dispatching a service provider, our dedicated personnel follow up with them and your business until your truck is back on the road safely. Follow-up calls are made when a vendor is assigned, during the event, and when maintenance is complete.

Convenient Payment Process

Drivers are not responsible for paying the vendor after repairs. The service provider sends us the invoice, which our billing department checks for accuracy. If correct, we pay the vendor and send you a single invoice for the event. You pay us upon receiving it.

VMRS Coding

Our billing department uses Vehicle Maintenance Reporting Standards (VMRS) coding to track repairs and equipment components. This service keeps track of each vehicle in your fleet and includes the reasons for each repair, allowing for cost analysis.
