FleetNet staff gathered in Chattanooga, TN, to support this year’s Wall of the Fallen event, which honors the brave men and women of the towing industry who have lost their lives in the line of duty. Employees from both the FleetNet Service Provider Network and Cox Mobility Product Development teams. This year 23 names were added to the Wall of the Fallen Memorial.

Towing and recovery is one of the most dangerous professions in the world. The men and women in this industry work perilously close to high-speed traffic and routinely face the dangers posed by impaired, inattentive, and distracted drivers. Tragically, the towing industry loses approximately 60 operators annually.
FleetNet service providers place their lives in jeopardy each day when a roadside event occurs. “Safety is our utmost priority,” says Mike Hammock, Manager of the Service Provider Network. He emphasizes the importance of safety measures and protocols to protect these dedicated professionals who risk their lives to assist others. FleetNet has been a proud supported of the Wall of the Fallen event for many years as well as the International Towing Museum Survivor Fund. This fund was established to provide financial assistance to the families of towers who lose their life in the line of duty. To date, the Survivor Fund has paid out over 1 million dollars.
