What information does FleetNet collect?

We collect the minimum required contact information to respond to customer requests for financial documents or to allow customers to more easily fill out contact forms on the fleetnetamerica.com website. 

Some of the information collected by FleetNet is personal data or data which relates to an identifiable person. Examples of personal data are names, addresses, e-mail addresses, telephone numbers and credit card numbers. We never sell information to third parties that could be used to specifically identify an individual customer or group of customers.

Specific information concerning credit cards:

In cases where credit card numbers are provided to FleetNet for payment, those numbers are transferred using industry accepted encryption efforts.  FleetNet does not store customer credit card numbers, but does store and utilize credit card number tokens provided by our card processor to protect this confidential information while still allowing for standard billing functions.  The provided name, authorization number, and last four digits of the credit card used will continue to be available.

How is my information saved and protected?

We treat our data as assets that must be protected against loss and unauthorized access. We employ information security techniques to appropriately protect confidential information from unauthorized access by users inside and outside the company. Access to customer information is limited to those individuals who have a legitimate business need for that information. 

The FleetNet America, Inc. Internet website is currently located in the United States. FleetNet America, Inc. Internet sites, and their supporting systems, employ generally accepted information security techniques such as firewalls, access control procedures and cryptography to appropriately protect confidential information from unauthorized access. 

Does the FleetNet site use cookies?

The FleetNet America, Inc. site may use session-level cookies in certain instances to assist the customer by automatically remembering login-state information. This information is stored on the customer’s PC and session-level cookies are automatically deleted following the close of the internet browser. The extent of information saved includes the customer’s name, address, phone number, email address, company name, and title. 

Will FleetNet America, Inc. disclose the information it collects to third parties?

Unless approved by the customer’s authorized personnel, FleetNet will not sell, rent or trade our customers’ information to others. In other words, all information about your company stored on our site will never be released to anyone without your company’s consent except to comply with valid legal processes, such as a search warrant, subpoena or court order, to protect the company’s rights and property, or during emergencies when FleetNet believes physical safety is at risk. 

Please note that by using the FleetNet Web site, you consent to the collection and use of this information by FleetNet. If we decide to change this privacy policy, alterations will be posted to this page. FleetNet is committed to protecting your privacy. 

Comments, suggestions or materials sent or transmitted to FleetNet shall be deemed to be non-confidential. FleetNet shall have no obligation of any kind with respect to such comments, suggestions or materials and shall be free to use and distribute them to others without limitation, including, but not limited to developing and marketing products incorporating them.
