Refrigerated trailers, also known as reefer trailers, have made the distribution of temperature-sensitive freight possible for nearly 150 years. This equipment is also commonly called a reefer truck; however it’s important to note that often the refrigeration equipment is on the trailer and not the truck itself. As reefer technology advances, products like foodstuffs, pharmaceuticals, paintings, antiques, makeup and computers can be shipped faster and more conveniently.
