FleetNet America Expands IT Department Continues Commitment to Technology

Press Release – (Cherryville, North Carolina, June 27, 2011) FleetNet has been focused on bringing additional value to the services we offer by continuing to expand our use of technology capabilities. The commitment to our IT infrastructure remains strong with the addition of five specialized IT positions with plans to continue expanding in the coming months. Leading the expansion of the department is the hiring of a new Manager of Software Development. This position is responsible for the day-to-day operations and long-term goals of the development group as FleetNet continues to grow. Sly Bericic has over 12 years of experience in the software engineering and development field. Sly served in the military for 20 years, managing Logistics and Quality Assurance. His previous position was the Software Development Manager for MRI Software, a company which creates accounting and property management software for the commercial real-estate market. He is a proponent of software development lifecycles and agile programming processes. Sly has also been an active adjunct professor for the University of Phoenix since 2008. He has taught at the Bachelor and Masters levels in the Information Technology program in such topics as Business SQL, Intro to Programming and Logic, and Business Information Systems 

David Perkins joins FleetNet from Wisconsin as our new Network and Server Administrator. David has had many years of experience in the technical field working in both private and state government infrastructure areas. Andrew Lineberger, a graduate of Appalachian State, heads up our customer and vendor integration development. Andrew previous experience includes the retail tire industry. Pam McSwain, training coordinator, fills a special position for the organization and maintenance of FleetNet’s training materials and curriculum. She will be working closely with each department to establish training baselines for new hires and continuing education for existing employees. Jason Graton, an Appalachian State graduate, joins FleetNet as a software developer. He will be heading up the sales and use tax development among other projects. Jason’s previous positions include web developer for social networking and a global language study site.
