Press Release – (Cherryville, North Carolina, April 5, 2011) The 14th Annual Towing & Recovery Association of America Legislative and Leadership Conference was held Thursday, March 17th. TRAA is celebrating 25 years of being the national voice of the tow truck industry working in legislation, education and communication. James Williams, Sr Director of Vendor Relations for FleetNet America and an active member in TRAA served on a panel during the conference to discuss Hours of Service (HOS) and CSA. Other panel members included Chairman Jeff Roskopf, Roskopf’s Service & Towing; Lee Long, Southeastern Freight Lines Director of Maintenance; Tom Doyle, Liberty Mutual Service Director; and Randy West, Commercial Vehicle Safety Alliance (CVSA) Director of Driver Programs. Topics discussed included how CSA and HOS impact towing companies and their insurance rates, drivers, and daily operations. James Williams lead the discussion about North American Standard Out-of-Service Items. James is very active in the towing industry and organizations from chairing committees and panels at TMC to being inducted last September in the International Towing & Recovery Hall of Fame in Chattanooga, TN.
